You've got to speak to Nigel at Barston. He's no mean angler himself and is a great guy to talk to. He feeds his carp every day with pellets.Took me on a conducted tour of the fishery and hatchery last year prior to a TA match.Watch he doesn't take you for a ride in the golf buggy though!! ;D

Two lines of attack method feeder or pole, dead maggot or mini boiley for the method, feed two lines on the pole one at 6 metre as Kingfisher said Nigel feeds them daily with pellet bet he dont get them much further than that, another line at 12 metre chopped worm and caster if your happy with it, its a fairly shallow lake but can tow a bit, dont discount up in the water at 6 metre theres a fair head of roach that will often play ball, 60 to 100lb is possible on the feeder as the carp are pretty big, 30-40lb on the pole. The lake holds Carp to upper doubles, skimmers and the odd good bream, tench to 5lbs, perch, crucians, Facilities are first class breakfast can be had in the golf clubhouse might be worth giving them a ring if theres a good few of you, parking is no problem on one side of the lake its behind the pegs, heres the web site link www.westmidlandsgolfclub.co.uk/

The main question is : Does the bread work ?

Dont know about the bread no reason why it should not but you may just be bitted out. If you are pegged in the high ninties then its a 50mm white boiley cast to the round island with a flag on it ;D ;D ;D

Bar will open at 12 as its a Sunday . I would guess you are on the river side of the pool, which will mean a bit of a walk dependent on the pegs you have got.

THANKS BRIAN. IF YOU WERE FISHING IT WHAT METHOD WOULD YOU USE ?

I would look at the pole, at 6 metre and 11/12 metre but if the carp are having it then the method may be the best bet to win it. If you have time the a quick walk along the golf course bank and a quick chat with the bivvy boys would give you an idea if thats on. Its worth feeding a couple of balls of fishmeal ground bait on the pole line as there are plenty of stockies and skimmers. Unfortunately I am at a wedding in Plymouth this weekend or I would have had a ride over and met you guys.
