looking for a new reel christmas box from the missus hopefully. can't make my mind up.I want a match reel for float and ledgering.Iwant a shallow spool that takes approx 100 yds 2 to 4 lb line. looked at the daiwa 250cu or the daiwa advantage. any comments on these reels or equivalent.

look no further than a stradic £80/£90 ish last a life time hope this helps

Push the boat out and go for a Stradic 4000FA it will do the lot m8 ;)I have had a pair of them for some time and have never let me down yet.Expensive i hear you say, but you get what you pay for and will last the test of time!!

the 4000 will do both and last unlike cheaper models

Think i read some where that the stradic was origonally designed as a salt water reel for spinning. Which gives it amazing winding power.Also front drag system which can take some getting used to if you use rear drag reels,but the drag on the 4000FA is superb they also cast like a dream due to exellent linelay and big spool.
