Hi All,
Can someone tell me how to fish the big waggler?
I fish a water where the fish live close to an island with loads of roots , snags on the bottom. I can reach the island with a feeder but fish are showing off the bottom.
How do i connect it to the reel line and would you use shot down the line. Baits would be maggot or pellet for carp upto 8lb.

Use a in line T bar type connector varoious types on the marcket, stonfo make a good one but are expensive. You can adjust the depth easily by pulling off the sleves on the brass bar allowing it to run on the line, simply push the sleves back over to lock in place.Floats are easy to change as well as they are on a snap swivel.Wouldnt use droppers if using a reasonable sized pellet on the hook fishing shallow to islands, because it will be heavy enough to sink itself, and will fall natral through the water like your feed.Would maybe use a dropper using maggot to help it sink a little. Each day is different, and altering your rig around till you get best results is advisable. good luck hope this helps an exellent way to catch if you master it!!!

Many thanks for the replies.
I like the idea of the connections a lot better than shot and easier to adjust the depth.
Can you tell me whether the large 12g wagglers you can buy are self ers or do you need to add shot to the main line to the float.

you need to add shot to the main line on most however it depends on the manufacturer
I have a range and they are like from 4 gram to 20 gram and each requires at least 1 gram extra down the line to co.ck so you need to get hold of some extra brass discs (ps if you get any can you pm me the shop you got them from as i need some as i have 20 wagglers with no weight on as they have being comprimised lol) and then you can add the discs as required to make them co.ck

Wind some lead wire around the base and seal it with superglue. You can teast the weight in a bottle.
