I've finally saved up my pennies for a new pole. I have a max of £2500 to spend and want a good all round pole that I can use for match fishing a wide range of venues from canals to commercials. I've been looking at both the daiwa and the Garbolino but I know that the daiwa has been around a while now and can it be bettered for the money. Any sugeestions would be helpful or any other poles that you think I should look at.
Cheers Marcus

had my pro about a year now used it 3 or 4 times a week and caught weights up to 150 lb and have had thousands of pounds of fish on it never had a section brake of felt like one will. there might be better poles if you just fish canals but if you fish for everything or just for carp you wont find any better

I agree with Danny, I used my new Cspec at the weekend, my mate who owns a tourny compare them both together and was very impressed, both had there cons and both were comparable. Incidentally the finish on the browning was far better. It just slid thru your hands.

Hi there, if you do go for T.P. give the No. 5 section a good wax with candle as tends to work loose I have seen it happen twice where it was towed round Heron pool at Elmbridge as the guy had to go for a wade in the pool to recover it only to step on the No. 4. I went for the G995 lighter stiffer than Pro. G995 is good in the wind and good at lenght, like it got viagra up it !!! The big P/Tops on T.Pro do it no justice for its price range, trade them in if you can. HMMM You could buy 796 which is off the same mandrel as the G995

Buy 796 and the G power as the kits are interchangable with each pole so have loads kits with change in your pocket or buy more kits if you want. Worth a thought. Regards, Willy from Kiddy
