have not fished paste before would like to try this year , have you got any tips on how to mix and what floats and hooks to use?

To make things easier having not fished paste before I would recommend trying ringers bag up paste, just add water and it shows you how much on the packet. Sometimes better to mix the night before and you will find it is very easy to use with good results.

I have had good results on the GOT paste. I have been playing around with the texture of it and have found a soft ball about the size of 50p works best. You do need to fish it with a kinder/toss poss though to get it out to the required spot.

If you want to try a good paste try this. Take 1/2 pint of 6mm halibut pellet. Pour on enough boiling water to cover them, no more. Leave to soften and then nead into a paste. Magic. Make sure the venue allows this type of paste as some don't.

i fish paste in winter some times just dont feed anthing and fish a fizzy hemp seed paste to get some interest sometimes it works

spade really eyed are for anglers who cant tie spade only joking i like using eyed for hair rigs
