I have a maver h31, which while a couple of years old is in pristine nick and is perfect for canal/river work. The power kits are rated to 16 but I dont trust it for carp tbh, so have decided to get a cheapish carp model to hammer as i plan to do more commercial matches this year. In about 3/4 weeks I'm going to have around 250-300 quid spare, so was lookin to get a bagging pole for the summer. I want 13m, with at least 2 spare kits and laggy rating 20. A cupping kit would be nice too... And top kit/ spares price and availability are important too, as in the last 4 years I've killed a f41, h31, matchwinner power and a tournament s. ;D the maver deploy looks a good buy, as does the sensas crazy power 200 and the garbolino fighter 396 ( that seems hard to get hold of though) Any thoughts? Or should I aim to get a good nick second hander? Ta, Dave

Hi Dave, if you can run to £399 get the Shimano Exage 14.5mtrs, 4 top kits, dolly butt and holdall probably the best pole around for less than £500, great bit of kit, strong and straight, check one out!

Sadly that's beyond the reach of my wallet... :-(
I also see MAP have loads of budget carp models out there. Someone must own/used a cheap carp pole!?
I can't be the only one who prefers canals or has no money...... can I....?!
LOL!

I'd be tempted to buy a 2nd hand one, maybe a Renaissance, but saying that for what you want to spend most poles in this price bracket are perfectly fishable at 13m. How did you kill the Matchwinner?? My dad owns a Milo Carp 2000, never uses it. Would you be interested in that?

The first matchwinner top broke cupping a solid ball in, i trod on a section, and a 4 folded in half when playing a lump. :-(
I'd be VERY interested in the milo depending on condition and spares. Feel free to PM me, or email me on davidwhittington2000@yahoo.co.uk
Cheers,
Dave
