It a type of salmon feed used by commercial breeders. Freo their web page:-
Nutra Fry is a complete range in five successive sizes of crumb suitable for salmon fry from first-feeding to pre-smolt size. NutraFry fully exploits the salmon's growth potential during the critical early stages and achieves this through a combination of top-quality ingredients, essential nutrients and superbly physical quality. Nutra Fry has a high digestible protein and energy content in size-dependent ratios which allow maximum growth performance. The primary protein source is LT Quality fishmeal especially selected for its low ash content which ensures a low phosphorus level in the feed. Nutra Fry has also been formulated to AminoBalanceTM principles ensuring that all essential digestible amino acids are supplied in exactly the correct amounts Nutra Fry crumbs are designed to be clean and dust-free with high water stability and a slow rate of sinking. The use of Nutra Fry feeds will promote rapid fry growth and excellent smolt quality.
Hope you start catching now its warming up
Cheers

Cheers Fred I have been looking into it a lot,I was wondering if anyone has tried it. BTW ridgeacre I know where you can get it for 2 quid a kilo or 42 quid for a 25 kilo bag,I was wondering if it would bind together good for paste,I am sure it would be great for mixing with brown crumb for feeder fishing for carp and the oil content is 30% lower than halibut pellet here www.gppellets.co.uk/downloads/price-list.PDF

it's the one on top.......I recon this is what carp farms feed their fry as it has this product in it called Macrogard and what that does is immunize the fish against all kinds of disease especially skin disease also it helps fry grow faster........btw they give the same stuff to animals to stimulate growth.....me thinks rolf is putting it in his lakes

Alfie, brood stock mix is very high in protein, usually contains, shrimp meal, squid and liver as well as nutrients. Never used it but worth a go, will be very strong so may need cutting back with a bulking agent, (brown crumb etc). Three other things to watch for are salmon crumb around 50% protein and high in oil, and krill meal as well as spirulena both top additives.
