Hi when I'm fishing shallow on the wag feeding hard pellets and fishing a banded pellet on the hook at times i tend to get to many line bites and have problem differentiating the true bites from liners any advise or opinions

Try fishing shallower, and also leave a bit more float sticking out the water, so you can see the diffrence between a liner and a proper bite.

sounds like a feeding pattern just needs a tweak....you may be putting to many pellet in at one go mate, try 3 or 4 pellet or 1/2 a pouch then nothing, imo you just need to work it out and don't just keep doing the same thing good luck

good point, feed more at the start to attract the fish, then back off the feed to make them compete for it, and not attract too many fish at once.

Do you think that big wag might work leaving a gap between locking shots and using this to self hook

Either that or fish a self er on a small loop,. Give hair rigged pellet a go, it does make a difference!!.
