Birmingham Airport A.S. held their 1st Bye today on the B.A.A. controlled stretch of the Warwickshire Avon at Pershore R.B. River was just a couple of inches up with a good colour. Mostly bright and dry but a mixed downstream wind made things awkward at times. New member Richard Smith took the honours in his first match with the club ;D
1st Richard Smith 8-1-0 Roach to 1lb 5oz, bread punch & caster. 2nd Pete Turton 7-1-8 Including 2 decent Bream around 2lb each, Bronze maggot over groundbait. 3rd Steve Stanley 3-14-8 Mostly Perch, best 0-9-8, maggot 4th Mick Edwards 3-3-12 mixed bag to maggot
Top 4 weights fished mainly stickfloat tactics and all 10 anglers weighed in with all but 1 breaking the 1lb barrier (12oz). Total weight of 30lbs 13 oz between 10 rods.
Glad we did not switch it to the canal !!

Well some of the lads caught well but you have to go well down the list to find my feeble contribution I'm afraid
