well hasn't been bad day. we had trebbile weather leading up to this round. some parts of the complex had flooded over day and the water was very clear and very cold.
hlaf hour before all in started to rain bit then got heavyer into the first hour off matrch which slowed down the fishing.
well me drawing arm was there but not fully.
i drew poolsfooder 35 meadow on bend and got 3rd in section.
Mark C was on peg 8 island which won my section
john was on peg 18 canal which every1 blanked off last week
and i drew probley the worst winter peg on the place. 44 bridge. hardly any pts have come off it. i manged 9lb 8oz, for 4 pts, which is 2nd best points come off that peg and 2nd best weight off the peg which i pleased with considering its shallow peg and its had all that cold water gone into thyan place. i seemed to catch what was there then pciked off the odd fish then really struggled for tha last 2 hours. think had 2 chub. was really hard day and had work for that 9lb odd of fish.

Well done to all concerned. I can remember the days when I used to turn out in all sorts of weather to try n get a bite, too old n soft now . Don't know where we finished yet but that don't matter, we were there, that's what counts. Big THANKS to those that helped us out . Well done Chris for being captain and managing all those cr*p draws (if it wasn't you, someonelse would hasve drawn em). I won't be entering a team in the spring league, or next years winter league, but there's nothing stopping to stop someone else doing it.

Neil, I believe there's still one match to go, to replace the one that was postponed due to ice? I started off with 3 carp inside the 1st 20 mins all taken on 3mm GOT baits hooker pellet fished in the deepest part of the peg at 11m, fish no 4 didn't grace the net until exactly 12 o'clock, I know, because the hourly chime on my watch sounded as I slippped the net under it ;D It was case of I'd catch a couple, then the peg to my left would catch a couple, then the guy opposite, then me, it was like taking it in turns to catch The last half hour saw a flurry of fish all coming to pellet bar 1 that took a red maggot, but it was too little too late & I weighed in 18-8-0 with 19-8-0 to my left & 17-8-0 opposite. Poolsfodder did well taking just under 40lb from a peg on Meadow. Apart from getting absolutely soaked I enjoyed the day.

it's a bugga of a place to fish mark, they always switch off for an hour, you just have to be ready for when they switch back on, it's a case of, 'never give up' . It can be won in the last hour

CJA, you gave me duff info ;D ;D Peg 7 won your section last week, thats why the bottom of the shelf was at 11m on 8 & not 13m, it is on 7. I said you were "Captain Chaos" ;D ;D ;D

Heronbrook, where shall I start. Drew another flyer, (not) peg 18 on the canal. Last weeks result on this section was. 16 C Hill 5 0 Maver Wolves Black 17 N Russell 0 0 Ted Carter Mosella 18 N Russell 0 0 Patricroft Pensioners 0 19 M Mee 0 0 Connect Tackle 0 20 K Stevenson 0 0 Blurton Four Today. 16...10lb (last peg on the edge of the stick ups) 17...4lb 18 (me) 7lb 19..7-12 20..? This area at the mo seems devoid of carp, they won't move from the stick up pegs. 12-16. I had 1x2lb tench, 1 x carp 2lb,1x f1 3/4-1lb them some small silver fish, for a net of 7lb CJA drew his worst peg to date, peg 44 bridge, a goodish summer peg but not so good in winter. Well done to the two Marks Pools fodder having a nice 39lb net of fish from 35 meadow ( scattys pool ;D) Markc having 19 1/2 lb from Island peg 8. ( sorry mark I also thought it was the peg Chris said was opposite him last week ) I felt sorry for Wayne, who had 25-30 of fish from his peg off the canal. He lifted his net out to guess his weight before the weigh in only to find a foot long hole in his net, which 20+lb had escaped.
