Well done Stu, for a well organised match and raffle. ;)The fishing was hard, but is was nice to meet up with everyone and meet some new faces. Thanks to neil for his kind hospitality and bringing round the hot drinks and sandwiches. Well done to Andy P for a well deserved victory. The fish were obviously shoaled up in the middle of the pool and the waggler was always going to win it. Thoroughly enjoyed the day, which was rounded off nicely with a couple of shandys in the pub after. Well done guys, Royst.

My day started with the alarm not going off & getting up an hour late! Had to forgo brekky with Mark C in Tamworth although did manage a stop off at a butty van on trhe way. Bonehill Mill was a nice looking couple of pools with a hard standing car- park next to the pools. The fishing was particulary hard in my section with myself & Andy222 / Stu biteless after 4 hours. Must admit I was nearly packing in after 3 hrs but i was glad I went back to my peg after a walk around for a chat. I managed to charm a bite for Dorsal on my walkabout & he landed a small carp while I looked on. I sat back on my peg around 2pm & went back out on my pinkie line @ 11m . Then IT HAPPENED I had my first bite of the day which resulted in a 2oz Roach. A couple of minutes later I snaffled a smaller Rudd. At least I had'nt blanked .... With !5 mins to go after missing a couple of very shy knocks I had my final bite of the day. My No3. Elastic came out the pole tip more than a couple of inches for the first time with a better stamp of fish on the hook. I played it like a true professional ;D ;D & slipped my net under a common carp around the 1lb mark . So endeth my day. 5 bites , three fish 1lb 2oz . We all gathered round Stu's Car which resembled a car boot stall with all the raffle prizes laid out on tables.... Excellant organisation from Stu again. ;D We all were 'garranteed' 1 prize & then the rest were via the usual Raffle. Every1 went away with at least 2 items whuch consisted on Booze, Biscuits, sweeties & Groundbait / pellets. Most of us then went down to the local in Fazerly for a couple of shandies to plot the downfall of the other sites in the intersites next year ;D ;D ;D etc etc etc. Arrived home at 7pm after a long day well spent in good company which is what our matches our all about. I'm sure we will be back @ Bonehill when the weather will hopeully be as warm as Neil's hospitality on the day. Paulscatt.

It was good to get together with the lads again it seemed like ages since we we had a match.Well done to Stu for a brilliantly organised match. As has been said already the pool did fish hard but I enjoyed the day that ended up with a pint in the pub afterwards.Although the fishing was hard I know what the place is capable of and I will be back down there in the new year.

The fishing was hard, The company was great, the organisation by Stu first class, the after match drink was excellent, the fishery was well run by a friendly face, so I suppose 4 out of five aint bad, and it was nice to meet some new faces.

I've copied this from my post on "the weekends prospects" thread. I'd just like to echo the comments already made. Many thanks to Stu for organising the day and getting super raffle prizes. Thanks to Neil for his hospitality & everyone who turned up to support the match. I'm glad I persuaded Portway to take part for the first time in a TA get together and it's no surprise to Roysty & I to see our clubmate record an emphatic victory. Well done Andy! Nice too, that quite a few of us managed a pint & chat afterwards . See you all again soon Guys. ;D

I'm glad you all enjoyed it, even if the fishing was hard. Sorry I couldn't join you all for a pint afterwards, but I had to get back for a party at home where I downed a few pints to make up for my blank! ;D I'd love to draw that peg again - in the summer! It is quite shallow but it's a nice length (11/12m) into the corner and all that cover. Even I couldn't blank then, well maybe! If I don't see you before have a great Christmas. Hopefully see you all in the New Year when hopefully a few more of us can get involved in getting some matches/get-togethers organised. Stu
