got there. was a coldish breeze but was ok. water was quite clear all over.
started raining never end of match and wind picked up.
I drew peg 12 on island which is goodish peg. caught f1's and 2 or 3 mirror carp for 20lb 12oz which gave me 2nd in my section and 2nd best weight on island think. guy who beat me was across from me me but he seemed to catch em better and seemed better stamp fish. he weighed 25lb odd.
caught at 12.5 meters fishing red and white maggot on hook and feed 3 4mm pellets and 2 maggots every put in which worked quite well.
has fished very hard in some places. Big names and really struggled for low weights, while other anglers have bagged up.
just hope weather picks up for the next round.
least me drawing arm seems to be on its way back into form LOL ;D

Well true to form I was 'put' on Meadow pool yet again & had peg 31 a no mark peg even in the summer. Always knew itwas gonna be hard espcially as u could see the end of my keepnet in 3ft of water . Good for drinking ,,,,,,, bad for fishing. My match went predictably badly as I tried my best to buy a bite, any bite!!! I started @ 11m just up the far shelf on punch . Fed a few casters @ 5m at the bottom of the near shelf ( 6 casters! ) After 15 mins on the punch came inside on red maggot over the casters, again nothing . Shipped out to 9m @ bottom of far shelf fed a pinch of micro pellets & 3 pieces of corn 4mm expander /corn on the hook. It was now that the wind came up & it started to rain with ice cold rain/ sleet ....... Oh joy what a great session i was having Again no bites so decided to try further down the canal in the track to my right in front of the next (empty peg) in the direction the wind was blowing fed nothing tried pellet , maggot & corn on the hook. Got colder wetter & remained fishless for the entire match. Five out of the ten blanked on my section which I think was pretty much the worst section of the entire match Looking forward to the next round??? I won't be on Meadow will I Chris?? ( No I wont & thats final!! )

Paul Chris doesn't choose which pool each angler fishes, he draws for which pool, then which peg. ( I think)

Chris draws at random which pool, then which peg each angler fishes on Looking at Pauls pegs over the past few leagues, I think someone upstairs dislikes him ;D
