Bilston Angling Centre open- Monday 1st May HanKat AS waters-Walsall Canal Ocker Hill,Tipton
1st Simon Nickless (Saints) 7-15-8 2nd Ernie Thomas (HanKat) 7-13-0 3rd Bill Davies (Bilston Angling Centre) 6-0-0
Despite torrential overnight rain, which knocked the expected roach sport on the head, the canal still fished reasonably well for small skimmers and rudd, but it was old red eyes that the difference with all the top three including small tench in their mixed nets. Simon managed to find 4 on caster to go with with his squatt based net of skimmers and rudd to just pip Ernie who also managed 4 but just failed to catch enough small fish..

Simon has done well from that peg. Not the best on the stretch. I am hoping for a good draw there one day.

I also fished a few matches and got lost because the match organiser did not supply any maps to find the venue. He also gives Jimmy Hines the same peg every week LOL

What I find amazing on these matches is how the organiser always draws the flyer. Baffles me that does.
