17 members turned out for the match at the 'jam factory' Sycamore pool. After recent heavy rain the water level had risen by about 8 inches from its prvious low level. The influx of this cold water was the primary excuse for what was to follow. The match was fished in dry, but somewhat breezy conditions with sunny intervals. The match started slowly, with a few fish being foul hooked and lost. As the match progressed a few fish began to feed and Andy Sharpe, fishing pellet on permanent peg 22 was top rod on the day. 1st Andy Sharpe 51-04-00 peg 22 2nd Ralph Need 33-08-00 peg 17 3rd Mark Bennett (poolsfodder) 27-06-00 peg 24 4th Roy Ravenhill (Royst) 23-03-00 peg 2 5th Mick Edwards 20-05-00 peg 4 6th Richard Need 18-03-00 peg 20 7th Mark Causer (Markc) 17-14-12 peg 6

Dissapointing weights for this place, but at least you all caught. I went to a cess pit called Uckinghall pool, where over half of us blanked and a winning weight of six pounds - If you ever have the opportunity to go there - Don't Bother!

We always seem to have a mare with the weather at Broadheath! In the run up to this match, it had been fishing its head off & some people had been practicing, notching tons+ without breaking sweat ;D ;D I was confidently predicting that the top 5 weights would all be in excess of a ton ;D When the current Adroit AC match record holder pulled out peg 2, the very peg he had practised on, I thought we all fishing for 2nd place How wrong can you be. Sadly my own peg only came to life in the last hour but I'd got too many fish in the margin resulting in 5 fish being lost, 2 of which were definately foul hooked ( the scales don't weigh much) Redfin. I haven't fished Uckinghall for a few years, either the pool or on the river. Our club dubbing it "Uckinghall were you catch Uckall"
