Hi Rob, if you are on the small square (Ashley's) pool about 24 pegs, got about 4-5 ft average, nice depth down margins, can catch under some of the trees and bankside cover some big carp there. Lots of small stockie carp 6-10 inches long, pellet (fisheries own) can use own hookers, just lately worm and red maggot working well over pellets. Big fish go for cat meat. You can do 30-40lb of small carp if its on and everything is spot on. But be warned there are some very big carp to be caught if they will play.

3 pools, 1 is becoming a stock pool, large pool has bigger fish and is called Dales pool, method and groundbait feeder, lots of skimmers and bream, larger carp and some stockies, pole does work big pool only about 2-3ft on pole line only about 5ft in the middle this has nearly 40 pegs, for more info speak to the fishery manager Neil on 07861391916, pellets on site as well as tea coffee cans of pop, sandwiches chocolate and crisps, no hot breakfasts yet he is sorting that out. Safe parking, toilet, and nice pegs.

have been fishin both pools lately with some good results. Ashleys is either paste down the edge and at 4/metres or it is caster/maggot up in the water. I have just broken the match record on ashleys pool and it now stands at 84 pound in 5 hours.

Thanks Top2, I fished a match there Thursday last week and tried just as you have described . Shame the weather had just started to change with the rain and wind slowing things up. Caster shallow was a nightmare in the wind I only managed a couple of carp but got plagued by tiny Rudd. Ended up in the edge to take small pasties for a total of just over 30lbs , just enough to win but it was quite a struggle cheers Eric
