Hi Si - yes, I've also booked a club match on there in Sept (Sat 23rd). Perhaps too late for you(?), although I'm also on Bailees meadow (downstream) for a club match 9th Sept. Bass AC are also running a 120 peg charity match on 16th across all several of their sections so I may be up there three weeks on the bounce. Let me know your date TK

Hi Si It's on Bass AC (the brewery) waters in Burton on Trent. I'll dig out some contacts nos for a couple of useful guys and also send you a map link. Average club matches tend to be won with anything 12lb - 20lb (the cracks do 20lb plus) dependent on conditions, primarily roach, perch, gudgeon and bonus chub although there are bream and rogue barbel on some pegs. Stick, wag and pole with mag/caster/hemp will all put fish in the net TK

Hi Si - directions are A38 to Burton, when you leave A38 pick up the B5108. Follow this for a couple of miles. Take last RH into Watson Street which is last street before you hit the A5189. At the end of Watson Street follow the track down to the river. Sharretts is the stretch immediately upstream of the car park at the bottom running up to the old railway bridge. If you go on streetmap and tap in Burton on Trent the section is to the left of 'nature trail' TK
