A couple of my old team mates are coming across to see me and for a few hours on the bank. We're looking for a leafy, rural bit of cut in the brum area. Good silver nets on squatt and caster is what we're after, preferably with the odd bonus tench/slab to be had too. Day ticket.
Any ideas?! ;D

Leafy Rural Brum dont quite mix, more like old bedsteads, supermarket trolleys, bikers dog walkers, and factory walls, but if you dont mind a short journey to Knowle then Bham Civils have a stretch on the Grand Union adjacent to the Black Bouy (Boy) sure Kingfisher would put you right on the better pegs.

Once again Brian you come up trumps lol!
Yea, leafy rural brum is a bit of an oxymoron! I'll rephrase it as leafy rural west midlands lol! (gets out the AtoZ to try and find knowle!)
I'll await kingfishers reply.....
Cheers Brian

Ah, trusty AtoZ!
Near Solihull is fine, well within range. The guys are coming from near Coalville to Selly Oak to pick me up, so a few miles round Wmids shouldnt pose a problem!

I must get the fixture list out for the GUC to see if I can join John for a summer match this year, knowing me I've already missed them though

First two have been fished so you have a few to go.

Whilst I have not fished it that often, the better part of our stretch is past the Black Boy turn right into Bakers Lane over canal and park up on roadside along the canal, walk down to the right on towpath side and look for the feature pegs, trees in water. Thats unless Kingfisher can give you any better pegs on the stretch Nr Black Boy, where you can park on car park and have a pint afterwards.
