Yep the locals are pretty much unbeatable on there... but here are the basics -
I would fish 0.10 to and 18 tubertini 808, 4x8 or 4x10
personally I would bladder it with maggot on a couple of lines and take two fish off each line and then switch to the other line, this way you can keep them coming all day ... some of the locals do really well feeding regular meat down the edges - but again you have to keep changing lines otherwise you have too long a wait for bites.

Whatever you do Frank dont go onto midlandanglingnews.com/ then go onto loosefeed then scroll down to the bloke in the shorts holding a tench out of the Walsall canal...it might frighten you.....

Frank, Ask if John Merchant is there tell him you know Brian the secretary from Bham Civils club he will put you right and has been taking a fair bit if coin at TB recently, the new pool is a funny one where you may need to fish tight over or as is more likely 2/3 metres left and right of your peg, and keep on switching, pellet slop was all the rage at one time but knowing John he would want them on the deck, and would put in a couple of balls of heavily laced fishmeal gbait and fish the pellet over the top. My only recommendation is dont have the breaky and hope it dont rain because some of the pegs are dangerous when wet or was the last time I fished it. If I can find Johns Tel No. I will ring him and find out the latest form.

Brian G stated earlier,

The worst breaky Ive ever had stone cold and no taste, £4, and a cup off tea out the machine 50p I could pee better.
