What are your favourite hooks for on the pole and the waggler?

Kamasan B911's or preston PR28's. Could virtually go anywhere with those two!

Gary How do you tie pr27's (they're eyed aren't they?) A blood knot? Also why do U prefer them to spade ends? Cheers
Matt

Hi Matt only just seen this post. Anyway Giles put me onto these hooks 18 months or so ago and I personally think they are the bees knees and use them for 99% of my big bait work. I tie them exactly the same as a spade end with a hook tie. Remeber to thread the line thru the eye first though.

I prefer the Kamasan B511 for most of my canal work, I actually got away with using them on the river last year when I ran out of B520's, landed Chub to 2lb but everso gently ;D ;D.
Pools I am in between PR24's, B911's and Animals if I really want to go heavier.

It's Kamasan B911 or B711 for me on the commercials. But for silvers wth maggot or pinkies I like the PR23. They are very sharp with inturned point for a good hook hold, not always sure that a silver hook is the best though.
What do you reckon does hook colour come into it?
Personally sometimes I think that a silver hook can add to the visual attraction, but not always the case.
Looks like it's Kamasan or Preston for most folk on here!
I would be happy just to use thse 2 makes, although I do sometimes use the Drennon nu hooks for paste.

That's where you went wrong then Fred If I had landed a 17lb Carp on the pole I would not have used the rig again, I would have took it home and framed it ;D ;D ;D
