After 6 years on the net, I've decided that Talkangling has run it's course.
As from THURSDAY T/A will no longer be available
I've thought long and hard about everything and decided to call it a day.
I would just like to say a big thank you to you all for your support over the years, and I look forward to seeing you on the bank some time.
Kind regards,
Gary

Must be endemic Gary! I'm considering retiring from being Civil Service Match Secretary after 25 years! I'm sorry TA is to end so abruptly, but wish you all the best in your future angling and career.Wonder if I could join the Vets!!?

No More TA, thats sad I will miss it but it has not been working for a good few months now and whilst it has cost us as users nothing I am sure that it will have cost Gary, many thanks Gary for allowing us the use of the site. To all of you that I meet on the few matches that I fished, it was great to get to know you all, lets hope that we will meet again in the future.

Gary, Sad, sad day coming . I have enjoyed some great times on here and out on the bank with a lot of the members over the last few years and it's a real shame such a good thing has to come to an end. The banter was fun but sadly I think you are right that it had probably run its course. So a BIG THANK YOU from me for all your efforts and good luck with whatever your new plans are to be. Eric

I'd just like to say TA was a MASSIVE PART of my life for most of those 6 years as I was here from nearly the begginning.
I would like to say to Gary a hearfealt thank you for providing the oppurtunity for me to broaden my angling knowledge, get to speak & meet some nice people & fish venues that i would never have visited . I will stay in touch mate & hope to fish with you & the other diehards who supported the site & all our matches over the past 6 years.

I'm sorry to hear that TA is coming to an end. . Since becoming a regular user of the site I have found it most informative and extremely entertaining especially during those long winter nights. I have met some great lads and had some great days out fishing with the TA guys and enjoyed the craic enormously. Big thanks to Gary for running the site, and to Stu and Scatty for organising the matches. Hope to keep in touch with you guys, somehow, probably see you all on the bank, tight lines, Royst.

i've not been the most prolific of posters on here mainly due to someone already having posted simular too or the same thought i'd want to convey and thats down too the quality of the regular posters which is the measure of a great forum,so thanks to gary for providing a fantastic resource where i've been able to read great articles and some intresting conversations and everyone else for all the times i just sat read through thoughts and words.
for although this is one of a select several forums i freaquent but i'll still miss it like a severed limb.

As has been said its a sad day. This was the first site i ever came across when i finally worked out how to use the internet. And i have to say throughout that time it has remained one of, if not the friendliest site i have had the pleasure of posting on. I for one can honestly say ill miss it, specially seeing Brian G's name at the bottom everytime i come on .

Sadly all good things come to an end, and i'm sure everyone will agree T/A was a hell of a good thing! But i'm sure Gary feels the time is right to move on, i would like to say thanks to everyone especially Gary and all the moderators. It was great meeting and chating to you all, some real good times were had by some great lads. Take care everyone, and tight lines and lakkies to you all, and finally Goodbye Talk Angling were all gonna miss ya!!!!!!!!!

I've got to add my name to the list praising TA. The guys on here are a cracking bunch and I've enjoyed the TA days out I've been on, with special thanks especially to Stu and Brian who have helped me out immensely.
Thanks too go to Gary and the moderators for providing the TA experience. I'll be sad to see TA go. Sniff.

This is very sad news indeed, to see one of, if not the BEST and FRIENDLIEST sites on the net, come to its end. I’ve had the pleasure to meet and fish with some great lads on here and will miss it. I’d like to thank Gary and Paul for giving me the opportunity to do just that. I hope we can keep in touch and maybe meet again in the future on the bank.
Thanks and all the best. John

Thank you and may your god go with you....... Will be missed by many around the Midlands I'm sure. Will the Forum be the only part going or will the whole of the website be gone?
