Well Done MatchoWhat a brilliant day and an even better nite, from what I remember of it. ;D ;D I've spent my money (well the bookies)already ;D ;D Steve (carpmagic) fished an awesome match from a crap/not so good peg. Looking forward to going back next year. John

Well done Neil and hard luck Steve its all about the draw at the end of the day. Although I did'nt see it I beleive Steve was winning it at one stage. Never mind mate you will be there again next year. Although £25,000 a good pick up for the winner I still think the money should be shared out over the first 3. Also bad luck to Mick Godfrey a great bloke.

Only £100 I knew Neil would do well from that bank, but wasn't to sure about the peg. Because 2 years ago when Neil came 2nd, Andy (The Fin) Finley drew it and only had 1 fish. Spent my winnings already mate, was on the booze till 2 in the morning. ;D ;D The wife spent the rest on bedding and curtains yesterday. ;D Never mind I'll be back next year to take the bookies money, with a little help from Neil.

Well done again Neil. There's a pic from the match on the front page of www.midlandanglingnews.com which shows the extra pressure that you had to cope with. It was a pleasure to record your win, thoroughly deserved. And not forgetting the other competitors also, who made it one of the most exciting matches certainly I've ever seen. Could have been 300lb, with the fish you lost, a great day allround, well done Champ! See tomorrows Angling Times.

I think his initial feed may have been liquidized bread but he seemed to be on the worm by the halfway stage.
