What about when you need to get the distance to clip up. I have done it with a bomb before and ended up short with a feeder. Especially when up against a feature. I went through a phase of setting my clip with a bomb then putting my heavier feeder on and casting it straight into the far bank vegitation. . I now use a heavier bomb to set the line clip, so that it bends the rod tip the same amount as the feeder would, on the cast. Works for me anyway. ;D
