Hi,
i promised Gary to give some tips for fisching in Holland. Here is the first one. When you come to holland truy en fish in the river Waal. The best pegs are between Nijmegen en Zaltbommel. You must sit between the dams, because the current is much to stong over here. 300 grams is not enough to hold the feeder on the ground. Between the dams is 50 grams enough. You can catch al lot of big Bream. Most are arround 3 kilo. Also you can catch Winde (I don't know how the are called in Englisch) The look like Roach, but then a lot bigger. Mostly arround 50 cm. A good sport. Pegs you can find East of the A2 bridge near Zaltbommel. Also there are nice pegs near a village caled Deest. This is about 50 km west of Nijmegen.
Try it some time. Fisching hre is very spectaculair in beautiful Dutch surroudings.. See the picture...

What baits do you recommend, and what groundbait.

Hi, Worms are the best , but also Maggots and sweet corn are good. The groundbait must be heavy because of the current overthere. The content is not so inportent. You also need a heavy feeder. You don't have to fish a long distance. 20 to 25 meters is enough. When you like more info let me know.. gr. Aad
