Has anyone tried rolling their own boilies, if so how did you get on? Also any good tips on making your own pop ups?

I use a fair amount of boilies when possible on my summer matches, i reckon no match angler on the commercial venues should be without em. Richworth do a fantanstic array of boilies from 6mm and up at avery acceptable price per bag and are readily available,. As most of the time you only need hookers then i cant see the need to go to the trouble of doing your own other than "maybe" of having the satisfaction of catching on one of your own concoctions. If you do stumble on a formula Andy then send me a bag.

I see your point, but think it's alot cheaper in the long run to make your own. Also being able to tailor your bait to circumstances is of benefit. Oh and I agree about the satisfaction of catching on home made bait.

What I'd look at Andy is the amount your going to use.
Is it cost effective to lay out for the addictives/flavours etc or would it be cheaper to buy a bag of ready made basemix ? If your going to be pre baiting for a long session then yes do your own,but if it's only for the likes of a match............then I'd think about it.

There's no way you would think that sound advice up on your own. ;D ;D ;D ;D.
