I have received a no. of requests on how to customize / insert cartoons under ur usernames or as a signature @ the bottom of every post ( Like my 'welcome fish' )
So instead of typing out the 'secret formula' i thought i'd put down a set of instructions here. Although it sounds complicated ... take ur time read carefully & u should have no problems. I will of course endeavour to answer those of u too thick to follow simple instructions.... ;D ;D ;D
1) This takes some explaining although the procedure is straight forward providing u can cut & paste.... so pin ur ears back , i will start with the 'cartoon' figures such as the scrolling fish. These are called avatar's & u will need to search the net for 1 that suits u best. Do a search in google or any search engine for AVATARS
2) When u have found a suitable avatar leave that page open on ur browser & open up TA in a seperate window.
3) At the top of the board u can see the Talkangling fish. Below this is a series of tabs. Click on 'Profile' .
4) U can insert ur avatar either under ur name or at the bottom of every 1 of ur posts ( like my welcome fish )
5) The procedure is the same for both u just insert it in a different place ( All will be revealed )
6) Ok click on the other window with the avatar . Right click on your avatar & a box will appear. Scroll down to properties & click on it. Another box will appear, look to were it says 'Address' . Highlight the entire HTTP....... by left click & drag. Now right click on the highlighted text & click on copy.
7) Go back to ur profile . If u want the avatar to appear under ur username tick the small box next to I HAVE MY OWN PIC Then in the larger box place ur cursor in it , right click , click on paste. The HTTP addy should now be inside the box.
8) Click on CHANGEUSER PROFILE. Ur avatar should now appear under ur username.
9) The same applies if u want the avatar to appear under all ur posts except paste the HTTP addy in SIGNATURE BOX
However to make the image appear this time u will have to insert some HTML code b4 & after the HTTP addy.
Hope that's complicated enough for ya.
