This could be a long shot as there are no posts in here. I am off down to Cornawall and will be staying in the small village on the coast called Mevagissey. I would like to try some sea fishing, as any excuse will do, but have never done it. Is there anyone that could offer me a bit of advise on how and where to fish down there (Sea not course!), or am I best just goign on one of the boat trips ?.

Not that I am into sea fishing but for me I would look to book a day with a charter boat, they will no doubt have the right bait and tackle, plus they will put you on a few fish, If you decide to go it alone from a beach or pier make sure to wash your reels in clean water as the salthingyer will corrode them.

Thanks Brian, I think the Charter Boat may be the best option.
